Ecumenical Housing to create three units of affordable, ADA accessible housing in former daycare.

EHDG acquired the vacant, 3,650 Sq Ft former daycare located on Bridge Avenue in 2022.  We have committed to a full remodel inside and exterior improvements including new roof, windows, siding, and brickwork.  There is great need for affordable four bedroom and two bedroom accessible units in our area.  EHDG anticipates construction to begin in May and be completed in early Fall, 2023.  EHDG loves the neighborhood for its committment to making this a great place to live. We see the improvement and want to be part of that.  Our goal is not only to be a great neighbor, but to provide the families that will live here an outstanding community to live in.

Open House

The Public is invited to visit and tour our building at 809 W. 6th Street in Davenport, IA from 1 to 3pm on Thursday, November 17th, 2022.  We will be celebrating the completion of exterior work to the building made possible by generous donations from the Bechtel Trust and the Scott County Regional Authority.  Additionally, we will be sharing information about our recent award of Low Income Housing Tax Credits which will be used to complete major renovation of 45 units of affordable housing throughout Davenport beginning at 809 W. 6th in the Spring of 2023.  This building is currently empty, stripped to prepare for a full interior rehab beginning on March 1.  Come see what it looks like today and our plans for its’ future.
